Dear parents and playersImage

Thank you for your interest in the Troy Elite F.C.  This is the new name of the Troy Soccer Clubs as TYSL has asked us to allow them to continue to use the Troy Soccer Club name for their program.

Troy Elite F.C. was formed to focus on the Premier and Select travel programs in Troy, as well as the development of players as they grow into these programs.  We will offer tryouts this year for Boys and Girls from U-8 to U-13.  We will offer options for multiple teams in each
age group as long as there are a sufficient number of players.

The Troy Elite F.C. is planning on participating in US Club Soccer and MYSL as well as MSPSL for the upcoming 2006/2007 season.  You can find out more info about US Club at www.usclubsoccer.com.  Here is a brief description from their website.

US Club Soccer was founded in early 2000 as the National Association of Competitive Soccer Clubs (NACSC) by a group of soccer club coaching directors, representing several well known soccer clubs from different geographical areas.  The organization held meetings, launched its first website, and by 2001 had grown to over 140 registered members in 35 states.  As a result of this effort, in July, 2001 the organization applied for and was granted membership in the United States Soccer Federation.  This provided a seat on the USSF Board, and allowed the organization to sanction soccer clubs, teams, competitions, and events in the same manner as any other USSF member.  The number of clubs that registered online grew to over 250 by the end of 2001, and the organization changed its name to US Club Soccer.  By the end of 2004, US Club Soccer had grown to over 1,200 members in 47 states.

By participating in US Club, we will receive year round insurance for all players, the ability to register and create pass cards online, and enter into leagues that are formed locally of high caliber teams.  This does not prevent us from participating in MYSL at any time.  We will still be eligible to play for Ford Cup and State Cup championships in the appropriate age groups.  The decision of which league to participate in will be made after each team has been formed, but in general we anticipate that each “A” team will participate in US Club, and the “B” teams will play MYSL.  This is just a guideline and the team’s makeup and the opposition in each league will be evaluated at registration.  If you are interested in seeing an example of a local US Club league, please check out the Michigan Champions League at http://www.michiganchampionsleague.com with teams like the Wolves, Future Stars, Jaguars, Hawks, Phoenix, and Gators, among others.

Logistically, we have secured Troy fields and Troy referees.  This is a community based organization and as such will continue to offer Troy residents opportunities in our home community.

The Fees will be very similar to what was paid in the 2005/2006 season.  While fees vary according to how many tournaments are attended and their distance please find below an actual fee schedule from a U11 team with 11 players that attended four tournaments, two of which were out of state.

Troy Elite F.C. will also sponsor teams for a Select travel program in the U-8 to U-10 age groups.  The Select program will be a reduced cost, parent coached team that will be mentored by a Troy Elite F.C. trainer.  This will provide an alternative for players and parents that want something more than house soccer, but are not sure if they are ready for a travel program, to “try out” the club.

For children in the U5 – U7 age groups, Troy Elite F.C. will be offering the Troy Pumas program.  This will focus on fun activities that will promote the joy of soccer while developing good habits and quality skills.

The 2006 Troy Soccer City Classic is being organized and run by the Troy Elite F.C.  We expect an outstanding tournament to be attended by some of the top clubs in the state and region.

Lastly, we believe that our website will be a primary means of communication.  We are just getting the site up and running but please visit us at www.troyelite.com.  Here you will find the latest information on tryouts, our By-Laws and Constitution, and other updates on the club.  Check back often for the latest information available.  You can also request information by sending an email to or by clicking on the ContactUs link from the website.  You can also subscribe to our newsletters from the website.

Again, thank you for your interest in the Troy Elite F.C.
